Join our dynamic and growing team as a Senior Commercial Portfolio Accountant at Billingsley!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Portfolio Accountant to oversee a diverse portfolio of office properties. The ideal candidate will manage full-cycle accounting processes and possess expertise in commercial real estate, particularly in office property management. Proficiency in Yardi software is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial health of a portfolio of office properties through comprehensive accounting procedures.
• Oversee full-cycle accounting processes, including AP, AR, month-end closing, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for multiple properties within the portfolio.
• Collaborate with property management teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
• Prepare annual operating expense reconciliations and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing variance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting, specifically in office properties.
• Extensive knowledge and proficiency in Yardi software is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
