Embark on a Nocturnal Adventure in Bar Harbor's Premier Hotel! Are you a night owl with a passion for precision and hospitality? We're seeking a meticulous individual to join our team as a Night Auditor, ensuring our guests have a restful and delightful experience in the heart of Bar Harbor.

As a Hotel Night Auditor, you will conduct end-of-day accounting procedures, balancing accounts, and ensuring financial accuracy. Be the beacon of assistance during the night, providing exceptional service for late check-ins, inquiries, and ensuring a secure and peaceful environment. You will also utilize hotel management systems to process reservations, check-ins, and check-outs accurately.

You will be working your magic on a full-time year-round basis. Your schedule will be 40 hours a week. Weekends, nights, and holidays are a must. The starting wage is $21 per hour.

Job Duties:

• Acknowledges our guest with a smile and friendly “hello”. Promptly attends to guest needs
• Performs calculations of all department's day work. (Ability to gather, analyzes, and evaluates data)
• Completes daily reports – balanced to zero
• Maintains records of routine accounting transactions; Assists in preparation of financial and operations reports including trial balances, adjustments and closing entries
• Follows all audit procedures as specified by brand
• Acts as night manager in absence of manager on duty. (Ability to work unsupervised)
• Arrives to work on-time and ready to begin shift
• Demonstrates a team behavior and attitude of working together to accomplish tasks (even if outside specific job duties)

• Completes work in a timely manner and meets productivity standards/expectations 

Performs additional duties as assigned

Skills Required:

• Work well with others including other departments.
• Follow instructions timely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively.
• Adapt to change.

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of standing and working at the front desk.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work early mornings, late nights and unpredictable hours, including weekends and holidays.

Required Education and Experience:

• Prior customer service experience is preferred. High School diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
