We are partnered with the Chief Financial Officer at a well-established company in the construction industry based in Greensboro North Carolina to add a WIP Accountant to their growing accounting and finance team. The organization is an electrical contractor with over 60 years of success serving industrial, commercial, and municipal clients across the Southeast.
With approximately $60M in annual revenue and 200+ employees, the company combines the stability of a long tenured organization with the energy of a company in growth mode driven by strong construction demand in the region.
This role is highly visible, reporting directly to the CFO, and will play a key role in building out financial analytics, reporting, and insights across all Viewpoint Vista modules. Hybrid Schedule Mon Remote, Tue & Wed In Office, Thu Remote, Fri Remote (Half Day)
Responsibilities - Analyze financial and operational data across Viewpoint Vista modules
- Build and maintain reports to support project performance, cost tracking, and decision making
- Partner with accounting and operations to improve financial visibility
- Support WIP schedules, job costing, and revenue recognition processes
- Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist with month end close and financial reporting as needed
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for leadership
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and improve data integrity
- Collaborate with project teams to align financial insights with operations
- Continuously improve reporting processes and workflows
Qualifications - Years of accounting or financial analysis experience
- Construction industry experience required
- Strong experience with Viewpoint Vista required
- Solid understanding of job costing and construction accounting
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Problem solver who remains calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills across accounting and operations teams
- Self starter with a willingness to learn and grow
- High integrity, team oriented, and drama free mindset
- High school diploma required
