Job Description

TradeStation, a leading financial services company, is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Homeless Shelter Workers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who are experiencing homelessness and provide them with the support and resources they need to get back on their feet. Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct assistance and support to individuals experiencing homelessness- Conduct intake assessments to determine needs and eligibility for services- Develop individualized case management plans and assist clients in achieving their goals- Educate clients on available resources and services, including job training, housing assistance, and mental health support- Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to provide comprehensive services to clients- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the shelter, including meal service and facility maintenance- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed- Create a welcoming and safe environment for clients and ensure all shelter rules are followed Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred- Prior experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, or substance abuse preferred- Knowledge of and experience with case management and resource referrals- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to handle stressful and challenging situations with empathy and care- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Bilingual in Spanish a plus Benefits:- Competitive salary and benefits package- Opportunities for professional development and growth- Positive and supportive work environment- The satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of those in need At TradeStation, we believe in giving back to our community and helping those in need.
